Channel of Bones Documentary

  • January 02, 2016

2015 has been spent building this documentary, from Sydney to the blue waters of Hawaii.

Following two athletes journey to compete in the Molokai to Oahu World Paddleboard Championships.

Channel 9 in Australia is airing the hour long production from January 10th and throughout the year.

The two key characters are Carpenter Brad Gaul and Ironman Kendrick Louis.

Brad runs a highly successful business fitting shutters and blinds, he was the catalyst for this project, being a two time previous winner. Brad was preparing to marry his fiancé Rachel during the lead up so between training, work and this he was ultra busy.

Kendrick on the other hand is a professional so he has time relatively to rest between fitness sessions, the dilemma for him was converting himself from a short course sprinter into a marathon paddler to undertake this difficult and dangerous crossing of the Kaiwi Channel between Molokai and Oahu. Also known as the Channel of Bones!

The embodiment of my entire career shooting, producing, directing and editing combined into one project. This is my greatest achievement to date.
